About Sheba Gittens

Mother (Guide) to Alioune and sister to humanity. I walk in this world as an ancestor returned, carrying the wisdom of those who came before me and the medicine of creativity, community, and care. My life’s work is a practice of remembrance: a weaving of art, justice, and spirit to nurture balance, belonging, and joy.I am a heArtivist, Arts Educator, Co-creator of Space, Facilitator of Joy, Organizer with Community, and Weaver of Truth. Through my offerings, I invite people to return to themselves, to each other, and to the beauty of our shared humanity.I earned my B.A. in Africana Studies from the University of Pittsburgh and have devoted my career to community and justice. I am a certified Wellness Coach (Institute for Integrative Nutrition), Prenatal Yoga Instructor (SoulWork), and E-RYT 500 Yoga Instructor through Yoga Alliance (YogaRoots on Location 200hr, Ignite Institute 300hr).Utilizing a multitude of mediums, I offer workshops, host shows and events, co-create integrative arts experiences, and facilitate affinity group spaces with Folks of the Global Majority.Everything I do is guided by gratitude for my ancestors, my community, and the creative life that allows me to offer care to humanity. My work is a love letter to collective healing, a celebration of our resilience, and an invitation to remember that joy, too, is sacred medicine.
