About Sheeba Das

Teaching has always been my passion! I consider teaching as a calling, an incredibly rewarding job. It gives me an opportunity to talk about subjects and themes that I genuinely enjoy. A teacher is one of the most influential people in a child’s life. I want to become a teacher so that I can make a real difference instudents’ lives. In return, students have often changed the way I think and are often a source of inspiration. I take the task of developing young people into kind, thoughtful and contributing adults very seriously; citizens of a global world. I have been working with working with Global Indian International School, Whitefield as Subject Teacher for English. My current responsibilities include moulding and guiding 150+ students for their future classes. I am also the Public Speaking Skill Development teacher for Grade 5. I have also worked as a Spoken English teacher and worked with a Educational channel. I briefly worked with a degree college too. My education in the Emirates has given me an experience of a multi-cultural environment. My post-graduate training in the prestigious Institute of English (Research Centre), Centre for Language Studies, Kerala University-Thiruvananthapuram, has exposed me to a wide range of literatures: American Literature, Canadian Literature, Aboriginal Literature, Gender and Feminist Studies and Film Theory. I would like to be placed in an environment where I can grow as a person, as a learner and as an educator, striving to bring about positive changes in students and society.
