About Sheelyn Pharr
Hello! I'm a Mechanical Engineering major, Math minor, and student athlete on the women's rowing team at Tufts University. I am super passionate about STEM education and access for students. I have experience in leading teams and designing airplanes and rockets through organizations such as Tufts Rocketry and Flight Club Aerospace. I currently co-lead the mechanical team for Tufts Rocketry and run all our airframe fabrication, which includes fiberglass and carbon fiber cutting/sanding, INSTRON materials testing, and fiberglass layups. In the summer I run the barn program at Four Winds Westward Ho, leading a staff of 16 people as we run riding lessons and care for 22 horses.
