About Sheetal Bapat

Sheetal is a 'Parent' first, with a Masters in Branding and Communication, her fulfilling career spans more than 25 years in the fields of Teaching, Brand Consultancy, Recruitment and Talent Management, Not For Profit leadership for scalable impact and policy-level interventions, Social Entrepreneurship, Ed-Tech - research, content, and product development, corporate and leadership trainings, parent and teacher trainings. She is the Co-founder of Shyamchi Aai Foundation ( ) She believes that in the VUCA (Volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous ) world we adults are presented with the challenging responsibility of preparing our NXT-GEN for a world which is very different from the one we have experienced, hence the very fundamental roles of education, schools, teachers and parents are redefined. Her conviction is that technology on its own cannot solve the problems of education and the teaching-learning process. The whole school environment and the engagement of parents are critical factors influencing the success of the education eco-system of the future. Along with her team of experts at SAF, she has demonstrated her belief through some groundbreaking work in the last 13 years in the education sector by developing a unique Neuro-Psycho-Social approach in teacher training for Transformative - SEL (Social Emotional Learning) She has also developed several other assessments, content, and online learning modules in regional languages based on global frameworks contextualised to Indian situations and mindset. These have impacted more than 1 crore students and close to 1.2 lac teachers and parents across 5 states. Besides this she has her own podcast channel “Once a Parent” and also conducts trainings for parents and teachers. The most enjoyable time of her life is her journey with her two lovely daughters: the elder one, who is now a doctor, and the younger one, who is a budding entrepreneur. She cherishes her relationship with them the most. However, the 'Parent' in her also keeps her inspired to support the eco-system around many more children, whereby every child has an equal opportunity to 'Thrive'."
