About Sheetal Rawal

I am a lawyer with over ten years' experience working in legal, policy, and research roles for organizations acting in the public interest. I am collaborative, curious, and creative. After attending Huron University College for undergraduate studies, I completed a Master of Arts in English at the University of Toronto. I earned my Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2011, and secured a distinguished public interest articling fellowship at the Canadian Civil Liberties Association (CCLA), a national organization that promotes and defends civil liberties and human rights through law, policy, and public education. Following my call to the bar of Ontario in 2012, I acted as Director of the Fundamental Freedoms Program at CCLA, managing its response to a host of legal and public policy issues. Since then, I have worked in labour, pay equity, and professional regulation. I have also practised wills & estates law, and advised not-for-profits on a range of issues.
