Senior Data Scientist with Ph.D. in synthetic organic chemistry. Experience in research and applied chemistry informatics-data mining specifically data curation from scientific journals and patents using various chemistry s/w like Instant J chem, ISIS, Chemdraw etc. Working on various chemi- and bioinformatics software that are involved in scientific content analysis and chemistry data entry. I am also responsible for various chemistry related queries and quality checks. Ability to interface between practical bench science, scientific content, informatics strategy, and third party collaborations for the development of innovative and information-driven solutions in the early drug discovery process. Strong background in synthetic organic chemistry. Worked on informatics tools for storing, retrieving and analyzing information based on chemical and biological data to capture experimental techniques, such as high throughput and combinatorial chemistry for management of chemical information. Experience in synthesis of virtual libraries of therapeutically important small organic molecules using combinatorial chemistry techniques. Analysis of articles and patents covering information on combinatorial chemistry techniques and bioevaluation of small molecules against specific targets (e.g. kinase).
