About Shefali Patel

I am a higher education professional and STEM instructor with 20+ years of experience in academic operations, teaching, and student support. My expertise spans mathematics, statistics, and data analytics, where I help learners build both conceptual understanding and practical skills that connect classroom learning to real-world problem-solving. I am passionate about creating inclusive, student-centered online learning environments that engage diverse learners and promote equity. Alongside my teaching, I bring strong skills in data analytics and digital fluency—using Excel, R, Python, and LMS platforms (Canvas, Brightspace, Blackboard)—to design interactive lessons and analyze trends that improve learning experiences. These skills fuel my growing interest in learning experience design, UX, and service design, where I can merge analytical problem-solving with human-centered approaches to create solutions that truly meet learner and user needs. Whether guiding students through foundational math skills, teaching applied data analysis, or designing processes that enhance engagement, I strive to make learning relevant, empowering, and accessible. I am excited to contribute to mission-driven roles at the intersection of STEM education, user experience, and learning design innovation.
