About Sheila Eckert

Principal Consultant at Slalom Consulting. A passionate Agilist with an extensive background in software development. I have worked with multiple companies on their Agile journey using a variety of frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, hybrid, and internally created processes incorporating other Agile practices such as Pair Programming, Mob Programming, DevOps, XP, FDD, BDD, ATDD and TDD. I have coached and mentored development teams, product teams, stakeholders, and executives. I created and ran training sessions in many topics including best practices for backlog configuration and refinement, story estimation and continuous collaboration. Expertise in JIRA, Trello, Slack, MS Teams, and other management tools. In addition to being a Certified Scrum Master, Certified Agile Coach, Certified Agile Facilitator, Certified Scrum@Scale Professional, and Certified SAFe Agilist, I am an active member of the Agile community. Co-leader of the NYC chapter of Women in Agile, co-organizer for NYC Scrum User Group, member of the Agile Alliance, Scrum.org, Scrum Alliance and others. I have led several workshops and talks on Agile topics and have published blogs on Medium and the Women in Agile website.
