About Sheila Hacker

Sheila Wall Hacker is Senior Vice President and the Director of Human Sigma and Learning. She joined WSFS Bank in 2007 in Learning and Development. In 2008, Sheila became the Director of Human Sigma and in 2012 became the Director of Human Sigma and Learning. Prior to joining WSFS Sheila worked at First Charter Savings and Loan in Charlotte, NC from to 2003 and Commercial Bank of Florida in Fort Lauderdale, FL from 1988 to Her entire career has been in the financial services industry and she has held a variety of positions in both Retail Banking and Learning and Development. In her current role of Director of Human Sigma and Learning, Sheila is passionate about and responsible for the bank’s Associate Engagement, Culture, Learning and Development, and Talent Delvelopment. Human Sigma provides a research-based approach on how to manage the Associate-Customer encounter to drive business success by providing a disciplined process for how Associates interact and engage with customers. Learning and Development empowers Associates with skills to perform a role and encourages continuous learning. Measuring engagement provides valuable information to understand what is important to Associates for success in their role. Bringing engagement and L&D together is part of WSFS’s talent management strategy to create and support the alignment of individual goals and passions with organizational vision and performance. Sheila is active in Meals on Wheels and the United Way of Delaware. She has been involved in the Boy Scouts of America and previously served as the Del-Mar-Va, Iron Hill District Chair and as a merit badge counselor. Originally from Florida, Sheila currently resides in Middletown, Delaware. She has two sons who are both Eagle Scouts; they are all avid Miami Dolphin fans! She enjoys spending time outdoors. Her hobbies are biking, hiking, and kayaking. She is a perpetual learner at heart and loves to read.
