About Sheila M.

I am results-driven, highly motivated in Learning/Training Development with over 10 years of experience. in orientation, employee development, coaching/mentoring, and technical training. My experience includes developing, designing, and delivering content for instructor led courses, blended, eLearning and virtual learning. I believe in creating meaningful learning paths for employees. I excel at producing and delivering powerful learning tools while effectively driving program analyses and modifications to meet learners’ outcomes. Some of the professional areas of interest include adult learning theories, curriculum development and design, ADDIE/SAM models, needs assessment, and project management. My passion for Learning/Training and Development comes from the collaboration and creativity that I experienced when I converted ILT to eLearning. It was exciting to use my understanding of training philosophy and adult educational practices in replicating my dynamic delivery and presentations in on-line modules. I went back to school to learn techniques and processes and theories to enhance design, development delivery and assessment. My roles have challenged me and have provided me opportunities to designed and developed specialized training and education for global clients in universities all over the world and in the domestic banking industry. I have the ability to present specialized subject material and facilitate group discussions in a professional global environment in diverse audiences from entry level to senior-management levels. In addition to my many years of experience, I completed the University of Washington's eLearning Design and Development Program, recently completed ATD's Instructional Design Certification and I am currently enrolled and studying for my CLPL Certification. I am actively involved in the Seattle Chapter of ATD to stay on top of cutting-edge techniques and technologies in a fast-paced and constantly changing area of Learning Development.
