About Sheila Ryan
I opened Loudoun County Public Library's newest dedicated makerspace at the Brambleton Library, and I've managed our system's four Makerspaces since 2018. I create maintenance and replacement schedules for equipment, training plans for staff, and outreach. I work with branch managers and staff to provide consistent service and communication. My team and I teach patrons laser cutting and engraving, electronics, coding, 3D printing and design, vector graphic design, audio engineering, and CNC routing, to name a few of the activities that we engage in. We develop curriculum, provide 3D printing services, one-on-one and classroom technical training, and serve as a resource for our customers who want to explore various maker technologies.
