About Sheldon Lovell

My name is Sheldon Lovell having been in many industries starting out in the hospitality sector whilst working in University helping create a fabulous nightlife experience and transitioning into the business side of the role through my years as a trainee manager in one of Brightons busiest establishments, Revolution bars. I then decided to travel across Australasia with my partner and settle down in New Zealand to enjoy a year abroad. During that time I worked in retail for a year appreciating the different fashions and cultural attaché in the New Zealand culture. I also helped run the Mountain Warehouse facilities which was introduced into New Zealand for that time. Unfortunately COVID halted our plans to travel and with my Working Holiday Visa up, I decided to go back home to England from which i resettled back into Brighton. My years back I tried my hand at a new industry which was Insurance for a company called Domestic and General and this has made me aware of the different regulations that are in place for a company like that. In addition, internally I have designed scripts that have been used for campaign calls with one of our clients, Sky, from which we sell their product, Sky Protect Device Insurance. The success of creating scripts for the whole department consequently gave me a platform in the business and i was endorsed by my Team Leader to complete a Customer Service Level 3 course all of which was completed alongside my employment responsibilities. The hard work i put in, i got out with a distinction and a certificate in customer service. I have also been recognised as one of the few candidates to train new starters to enter the business and to lead group sessions and give coaching and 1-2-1 method all of which I have managed to do successfully using methods such as the STAR technique. Lately I have been focused on coming back into going back into Law and have recently completed a programme called the Capital Punishment Justice Project which involved a range of activities through legal research, witness interviewing, presentations and written communication skills. I also learned a lot about the death penalty and countries that have abolished and not abolished it, considered international law and the ramifications applied to it. My next goal is to get back in Law through the work of volunteering and vocational schemes to expand my resume and hopefully land a training contract with a law firm.
