About Sheldon Ptashnik

I am a professional, competent and accountable individual who consistently demonstrates a broad range of skills in the industrial construction industry. I fulfilled many roles with my previous employer of over 9 years, both project site and head office based. Most recently I’ve spent time in the areas of Purchasing, Materials Management and Subcontract Administration, working with key internal and external stakeholders to mitigate potential issues and deal effectively with challenges. Scenarios involving compressed delivery schedules, complicated storage requirements of client and company purchased materials, prequalification processes for potential subcontractors and suppliers ensuring compliance in concert with the internal departments of Safety, Technical, Commercial and Quality standpoints. I demonstrate proficiency in refining RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, SOWs, initiating Bulk purchase orders and callouts, and thorough Addendum relating to both Purchasing and Subcontract function. Other areas of focus include attaining proper approvals before Purchase Order issuance, correct vendor billing, accurate receiving into the Purchasing system and compilation of complete physical receiving packages are provided to Accounts Payable. As a 15 year veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces, I am a confident leader who is driven and motivated to achieve results in a solo environment and equally comfortable as an efficient and collaborative team contributor, dedicated to all endeavors assigned and takes great pride in all completed tasks.
