About Sheldon Tham

My current position is a credit analyst working in the banking and financial services industry. I prepared credit submissions including financial analysis, risk assessments and adhering to credit policies and guidelines for credit assessment. I have an eye for detail to ensure the submission is completed correctly and accurately. I worked closely with relationship managers, credit assessors and post-approval team to ensure applications are processed within the agreed timeframe for the best customer experience. I have successfully delivered subsea trees and wellheads projects previously by using the project management methodology and a certified project management professional. Also, currently completing my Juris Doctor degree at the La Trobe University. I want to use my profession to assist with people who require legal assistance but little knowledge of how the legal system works and helping them to obtain the best possible outcome. I understand I can only act on things that are within my control and I will seek help if matters are beyond what I know or I need a second opinion on something. When I receive help or response from others, I show appreciation by expressing my gratitude to the person who helped me. I remain positive when I faced challenges and have self-belief that I will overcome difficulties. I treasure every learning opportunity when I am assigned with a new task and kept an open mind on building new skills and enhancing my existing skill set. I believe I can only excel and succeed when I enjoy completing an activity. By creating purpose in what I do I am able to work harder and commit to achieve excellence in my work. I want to be recognised in the quality of my work hence I aim at delivering exceptional work to my customers. I always conduct myself in a professional manner that fulfills my role and responsibilities. I focus on the objective of the task and constantly find new ways to reduce non-value added time to work efficiently.
