As the Office Manager for the Neurology Faculty Practice at Maimonides Medical Center, a healthcare institution at the forefront of innovative medicine, I oversee the day to day operations of both clinical and non clinical staff. While acting as a liaison between patients, professional and technical staff I also direct and supervise clerical and billing activities. In this role my team has successfully implemented modern office systems, policies and procedures, maintain/deliver accurate practice statistics, and the merger of EMR systems. Prior to becoming the Office Manager, I worked as the lead Secretary/Administrative Assistant within the department. In this role I provided a variety of secretarial and administrative services for the department, such as coordinating office events, patient intake, credentialing, claim submissions, attend monthly manager meetings and assist in coordination of office policies and procedures. I'm truly passionate about my role and always looking to connect with other Office Managers in the related field. If I have to chose one aspect of my role as my favorite it would be encouraging my team to work towards the same goal. Collaborating on challenging projects and focusing on the best possible outcome is always very exciting. It would be a pleasure to connect with fellow Office Managers, colleagues or other healthcare professionals.
