About Shelley Evers

As a dedicated educator with over 17 years of experience in both special education and general education settings, I am passionate about leading inclusive, supportive classrooms and school communities where every student can thrive academically, socially, and spiritually. My expertise includes developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs), managing RTI tiered interventions, and delivering data-driven, targeted instruction tailored to diverse learner needs. With a deep understanding of special education laws and compliance, including IDEA and Section 504, I collaborate effectively with families, general education teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure equitable access and personalized supports. In leadership roles, I facilitate professional learning communities, coach educators, and guide instructional teams to implement best practices and foster continuous improvement across grade levels. Certified in LETRS and endorsed in reading, gifted education, and ESOL, I apply evidence-based literacy strategies that promote meaningful student growth and success. Serving in both public and Catholic school environments has strengthened my commitment to integrating educational excellence with values of service, equity, and community.
