Twenty eight years experience as Health Information Management Director in <100 bed community hospital. Responsible for all HIM functions including: Release of Information, HIPAA, JCAHO, CMS and State regulations for health information services, coding, CDI (Clinical Documentation Improvement) transcription and record processing. Implemented electronic medical record repository (Horizon Patient Folders) in 2005 including workflow design. Responsible for revenue cycle improvements including charge master analysis, updates and charge capture; claim edits, charge and denial audits. From 2016-2020, worked with a team of HIM and application experts in the assessment and optimization of EPIC HIM and related modules including application build. Specialties: Healthcare data analysis; coding and billing edits; reporting; have performed multiple builds for healthcare applications for medical record data abstracting, electronic health record repository and forms design.
