About Shelley Read

Shelley Read is a dedicated marketing, communications, and business development professional with over 25 years of experience managing and supervising marketing efforts particularly for the A/E/C industry. Particular areas of strength include technical writing, coordinating and implementing business development strategy, championing strategy and planning sessions, and providing strategic analysis for key project pursuits. Additional skills include implementation of marketing processes to support firm business development goals, interview and presentation development, and working with all levels of an organization for writing, designing and preparing compelling deliverables. Shelley has served as Past President of the APWA Nevada Chapter and other roles in the association that include Conference Committee Chair and Northern Nevada Chair as well as several positions on the Executive Board. She was also a member of the APWA National Sustainability Committee and continues her involvement with the association. Shelley is also highly involved in her local community and is a member of the Sparks Rotary and has served as Chair of Public Outreach and Career Coaching for that organization. She has also participated in Rotary 8th Grade Leadership program and other community projects. She currently serves on the Sparks Planning Commission and the Truckee Meadows Regional Planning Commission and has served as Chair on both of those commissions.
