Hello! I'm Shellie Zeigler, the Lead Library Consultant at the Mississippi Library Commission (MLC). With over 25 years in the library world, I've worn many hats—from Youth Services Librarian to Branch Manager, and now, Library Consultant. My journey began with a BA in Psychology from Purdue University, followed by an MLIS from the University of Oklahoma. At MLC, I specialize in adult services, readers' advisory, program development, and training on all things dealing with public libraries. I thrive on helping libraries enhance their services and connect more deeply with their communities. Whether it's conducting webinars on adult suspense novels or leading training sessions across the state, I'm passionate about empowering library staff to reach their full potential. Previously, I directed the Talking Book Services at MLC, ensuring that individuals with visual and physical disabilities could access large print, braille, and talking books. This role deepened my commitment to accessibility and reinforced my belief that everyone deserves the joy of reading. Beyond my work at MLC, I'm an avid reader and a proud reviewer for *Booklist*, where I've been sharing my thoughts on the latest reads for over three years. I also contribute reviews to the newspapers Clarion-Ledger and Hattiesburg American, diving into everything from literary thrillers to slice-of-life novels.
