Director, WTSC, 2021 - Present First woman appointed by the Governor to head the Washington Traffic Safety Commission in it's 50+ year history. Modernized the WTSC strategic plan to center it on equity using the frameworks of Proactive Traffic Safety Culture and the Safe System Approach. Increased staffing to meet new demands of the National Bipartisan Infrastructure Legislation. The Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA) board member, region representative and Co-Chair Equity and Engagement Committee. Legislative Director, WTSC, 2016 - 2021 Performed strategic outreach and advocacy to further advance the mission and goals of the Washington Traffic Safety Commission. Working with commissioners and stakeholders, developed the agency's legislative agenda and conducted legislative outreach and advocacy to support that agenda. Represented the agency to local, state, and federal officials and organizations. Developed and advocated for the passage of Washington's Driving Under the Influence of Electronics law. This hands-free law lowered distracted driving traffic deaths. Communications Director, WTSC, 2016 - 2021 Developed the Washington Traffic Safety Commission's umbrella campaign TOGETHER WE GET THERE based on the Positive Culture Framework. Shared the agency's goals and services with key stakeholders and community groups. Developed and implemented agency's communications plan bringing together subject matter experts, program managers, graphic designers, media buyers, and creative teams, with the mission of encouraging safe driving behaviors. Lead WTSC's Driving Under the Influence of Electronics education campaign which garnered 1.4 billion impressions and reduced distracted driving traffic deaths. Program Manager, WTSC, 2007 - 2016 Demonstrated ability to strategically plan and execute a variety of initiatives on-time and under budget.
