Shelly Holmes has worked with companies and organizations considered leaders in their class. She cut her teeth on behemoth consumer brands in food and beverage, banking and more, growing into a strategic marketing communications advisor to Anthem Blue Cross, LA Care, Raytheon, DIRECTV and TIAA-CREF, among others. For 10 years, she oversaw First 5 California's award-winning communications campaign which included various aspects of public relations (issues and crisis communications, public relations and promotion, media relations training and community outreach to name a few). Over the years, Shelly and her teams have worked with a myriad of government agencies, nonprofits and trade groups on some of the toughest issues of our day: health, healthcare, child welfare, education and the environment (including issues related to California wildfires). Along the way, she has collaborated with some of the country's most innovative, acclaimed marketing communications and business experts. Shelly founded both Holmes Associates and FranchisExperts to utilize her expertise and professional network to create innovative clients solutions - in the most cost effective way possible. Shelly's accordion-like consulting approach "right sizes" for the client the qualified staff and experts needed at any given time. Today, through Holmes Associates, Shelly and her associates have helped major companies, startups, educational institutions, nonprofits and government entities create brands, sell products, build communities and navigate crises and issues that often threaten organizational survival.
