About Shenay Lopes

I could speak fluently before I could walk, but being able to effortlessly move one foot in front of the other is really when things took off. Reaching these milestones, allowed me to became a suitable candidate for Community Work; from humble beginnings to many successful projects. Community Engagement is what set the path to a journey, my sauntering feet learn to brisk walk. In the spirit of tenacity and passion; my experiences and efforts can be measured by the success of all endeavors and undertakings. Whatever I set my mind to, becomes a reality evolving before me. That is the essence of the life I lead. This is the life I strive for, a life where action out weigh plans. And planning is simply a means of preparation. Philosophy: To me teaching is mutual learning, in order to fully harness the learning potential of teaching, it's critical to approach it with an open mindset and a willingness to engage in thoughtful dialogue with your students. The act of teaching can significantly enrich your own learning journey. As an indigenous person, I possess the capacity to critically reflect on my own identity and worldview. My interest areas are in relation to our behaviour with one another, and the patterns in sociocultural and sociolinguistic theoretical frameworks. Particularly the complicated and multifaceted interactions between the modern world and indigenous values.
