About Sheree Gardner

I have 10 years of experience in the counseling field working with grief & bereavement, children & adolescents, adults, HIV patients, and Veterans. I have gained experience through interning at Odyssey Healthcare Hospice Services where I provided grief counseling to families and patients. I worked with the Children and Teenagers Foundation and Access Mental Health where I conducted in home counseling for youth and their families. I also worked for Riverwood Psychiatric Hospital as a PRN where I provided group, individual, and dual diagnosis counseling to clients. I also provided individual, couples, and group counseling to HIV patients through the Ryan White program with the Fulton County Board of Health. I am currently working for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Ryan which services suicidal and homicidal Veterans through the Veterans and Military Crisis line. I have diverse experience in community settings that are transferable to numerous counseling settings. I have worked in case management assessing low income families to determine housing eligibility, linked community resources to assist with families needs, and volunteered in a community Aids Walk to support education of the disease. I also volunteered with the Stand UP for Kids program that helps homeless youth and street kids improve their lives. Actively worked with youth and school staff offering support in tutoring and facilitating educational programs. Among these brief descriptions excellent leadership and organizational skills along with effective teamwork and multi-task oriented abilities have been acquired and possessed.
