About Sheree Taillon

Senior Executive and Advisor with 15+ years of experience with comprehensive accomplishments leading passage of legislation, policy, regulatory compliance, and public health care. As Chief of Staff at the Louisiana Department of Health, the state’s largest agency with a budget of $18 billion, I provide leadership to several programs while directing and motivating a team of executives towards success. I spent 6 years at LDH Office of Public Health devising and executing numerous plans and policies to protect and promote the health of residents utilizing available resources most effectively to achieve the mission of the Department. Before my promotion to COS, I served as Chief of Staff for the Engineering Department within the Office of Public Health, advising the Chief Engineer on policy, legislative decision making, political, and administration. I have guided teams through complex projects by identifying goals and advising on implications. I am respected as an Influential leader who achieves unthinkable results through building trust among internal cross-functional teams and external stakeholders. I began my career as a FEMA Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) Manager for the year during Hurricane Katrina. The Slidell DRC had the highest numbers of individuals to receive disaster assistance in the months following Katrina. This ignited my love as a public servant. I earned my Master's of Public Administration from Louisiana State University Baton Rouge Louisiana.
