Background
About Shereen Amos
My career has been guided by a persistent question: how might we collectively create regenerative solutions for our interconnected world? For over two decades through Sugarbird Studios, I've orchestrated transformative industry conferences, produced global research documentaries, and designed frameworks that inspire collaborative action. Projects like "The Incredible Curious Adventure"(exploring insurance futures) and re-story.world (capturing COVID's transformation patterns) revealed how industries evolve - and how most organisations remain trapped in silo-based innovation despite having tools for unprecedented collaboration. This paradox led me to doctoral research (defence scheduled for September 2025), where I'm exploring how innovation itself must evolve to match our interconnected challenges. Through extensive analysis of successful transformations spanning three decades, I'm developing two frameworks: The Ecosystem Work Model: Exploring essential practices and processes that enable intentional ecosystem emergence The Meta-Innovation Praxis: A framework for navigating innovation across organisational, sectoral, and system boundaries My research aims to transform abstract "systems thinking" into practical tools for real-world application. As I prepare for my defence, I'm beginning conversations with potential partners - from innovation methodology leaders to regenerative pioneers - about how these emerging frameworks might develop into accessible tools that accelerate transformation across sectors. The opportunity ahead is profound: contributing to practical approaches that help organisations orchestrate innovation at the scale our challenges demand. Let's connect if you're exploring the future of collaborative innovation or working on challenges that transcend traditional boundaries.
