Shereen Tewfik is JOURNEY’s Chief Operating Officer, where she partners with the Executive Director to shape strategic direction and lead operational, programmatic and growth planning for a scaling nonprofit.A strategic leader with 13+ years of experience in program management, training and operations, Shereen specializes in driving change initiatives and building organizational capacity. She is skilled at influencing senior leaders, operationalizing strategy and guiding cross-functional teams to deliver transformational outcomes.Grounded in a commitment to equity and empowerment, Shereen has advanced leadership and capacity-building efforts across the globe—supporting individuals with mental health challenges as a vocational counselor, serving as a Peace Corps Youth Development Specialist in Guatemala and managing a global mentorship program at Vital Voices that paired emerging women leaders with Fortune’s Most Powerful Women. She later deepened her focus on organizational strategy as Vice President of Operations and Head of Global Resourcing at Hemsley Fraser, a learning and development consultancy.Shereen holds a BA from Franklin & Marshall College and an MS in Human Resource Management from the University of Connecticut.
