Hello & thank you for stopping by! My name is Shereena Johnson and I am a passionate educational leader currently serving as the Vice-President of Education with The H.A.B.I.T.S Group. With a robust academic foundation comprising a Masters in Educational Leadership, a Bachelors in Kinesiology, and an ongoing pursuit of a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Lamar University, I am deeply committed to continuous learning and excellence in my professional journey. Over my 17 years in the education sector, I've evolved from a preschool assistant teacher to becoming the 1st African American and youngest childcare Director at the largest private school in Circle C, Austin, TX. Recognized as Rookie of the Year during my tenure coordinating programs for the 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant, I played a pivotal role in uplifting schools under the Improvement Required category. My innovative after-school program engaged students and parents, contributing to academic success. In response to the challenges posed by COVID-19, I facilitated the transition to virtual learning, positively transforming the lives of over 200 students. Currently serving as the VP of Education, my focus lies in providing workforce development skills within the construction industry. Under my guidance, students graduate with certifications such as OSHA 10 or 30 and NCCER Site Safety Card, equipping them for safe entry into construction job sites. My expertise extends beyond teaching to encompass training, management, and customer service, thriving in collaborative team environments. Beyond professional pursuits, I am dedicated to my overarching life goal of educating, empowering, and elevating individuals and communities, beginning with my role as a devoted mother to my daughter. As a multifaceted professional, I find joy in traveling, cooking, singing songs from Disney movies, and avidly following sports, particularly cheering for the Miami Heat. My diverse experiences and unwavering commitment to education position me as a valuable asset to any educational institution or organization.
