I believe that a good software architect not only draws pretty architectual diagrams but also leads by example by practicing what he/she preaches and is deeply involved with the whole software development process. As a software architect, my responsibilities mainly include indentifying software solutions to satisfy client requirements including both functional and non-functional requirements; architectual prototyping and evolutions; guiding and mentoring of software developers; estimating software development times and helping software project planning; developing software and solving problems; communication with stakeholders including clients; selecting appropriate software tools and developmet environments; managing and maintaining software. I have been working with all the major OSDU cloud providers including Azure, AWS, Google, and IBM as well as various SLB application teams located in multiple technology centers to integrate the various OSDU cloud platforms with DELFI and SLB domain services. I provide technical advices, offer integration solutions, coordinate technical discussions, debug issues, and mentor/help developers/technical uses on various OSDU platforms and their integration with SLB services. I designed and implemented the SLB data platform core services and was the main SLB developer to open source and refactor/port these services to OSDU(Open Subsurface Data Universe), which is a consortium of all major oil/gas indutries and all major cloud providers. I also helped/mentored the cloud providers to port these services to Azure, AWS, Google, and IBM OCP(OpenShift) environments. I ported the SLB reference services and search extension service to AWS, OCP, and LightOps environments as part of the SLB OSDU joint projects with the cloud providers. In addition, I created pipelines to automate the Azure, AWS, OCP OSDU instance/data partition integration with DELFI. To streamline and help automate the build and deployment process, I created an ADO DevOps framework and use it to automate multiple services and deploy them to Azure, AWS, OCP environments.
