About Shernette Grant

The adage “Leadership Matters” is often overused and misrepresented. The plethora of leadership theories that have been purported to be the magic bullet to achieve organizational effectiveness is evidence that though leadership does matter, a scripted one size fits all approach in any context is flawed. As a leader who have effectively led in a variety of capacities, situations and environments, my personal and professional experiences have confirmed the need to be able to employ an unconventional, unorthodox, and almost always, a customized approach to achieve individual, group or organizational goals is key. I have also come to recognize that despite the adoption of any formal approaches to leadership development, an important constant is the impact of relationships in cultivating healthy people, healthy groups and healthy organizations. It is through this lens that I offer my skills and experiences to assist individuals, groups and organizations in optimizing effectiveness by coaching and training leaders and teams. It is imperative to understand “what is needed,” “what will work,” and “what should be done” in moving individuals and organizations in the right direction! Excellent at articulating, communicating and connecting with my audience, I will provide a customized approach to leadership and team development and mentoring & coaching to supports individuals and organizations.
