About Sherry Blok

Throughout my career, I have held progressive leadership roles and have demonstrated a deep commitment to lifelong learning and academic excellence. My expertise lies in bridging academic innovation with real-world application. I collaborate closely with university faculties, community stakeholders, industry partners, and national and international organizations to create programs that are accessible, relevant, and future-focused. I also lead and mentor cross-functional teams, foster inclusive learning environments, and champion the recognition of prior learning and alternative credentials. I lead the development of executive and professional programs that meet the real-world needs of today’s professionals, organizations, and communities. My role blends strategy, innovation, and hands-on leadership to build learning experiences that are relevant, results-driven, and aligned with market demand. I work closely with teams to design and deliver programs that support career advancement, organizational goals, and lifelong learning. I’m focused on making education more accessible and impactful—whether that means creating custom training for corporate clients, building new pathways for adult learners, or leading initiatives that recognize prior professional experience. With a strong focus on business intelligence and strategic planning, I help shape program portfolios that are financially sustainable and future-ready. I also oversee marketing and communications across our various learning units, making sure our value proposition speaks clearly to a broad and diverse audience. At the core of what I do is a commitment to quality, collaboration, and meaningful impact—both for learners and for the organizations we partner with. I hold a Master’s degree in Second Language Education from McGill University and a Certificate in Performance Leadership from Cornell University. In addition to my institutional roles, I actively contribute to the advancement of the field through volunteer leadership with the Association for Continuing and Higher Education (ACHE), where I serve as Chair of the Business Development Committee, Co-Chair of the 2024 Annual Conference, and previously as a member of the Webinar Committee. My mission is to empower individuals and organizations to thrive through learning, and to shape the future of higher education with vision, collaboration, and purpose.
