About Sherry Duboff

I have been in the education field for over 30 years as an educator, reading interventionist, workshop presenter, assistant, and substitute. I have experience working with general and special education students in small and large classroom settings. I am certified by the International Multisensory Structured Language Education Council (IMSLEC) as an Orton-Gillingham Dyslexia Teacher since 2018. I am trained in Orton-Gillingham Plus by the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education (IMSE). I am certified as an English as a Second Language teacher, and I am currently teaching English Language Services to the English Language Learners in my school community. I have been a member of my school's Intervention and Referral Services Committee (I & RSC) since 2003. I am a co-chair of the Indian Mills Read Across America committee and a member of the school climate and spirt committees. I am also certified in Curriculum and Supervision. I present workshops on several topics, including Acadience Reading/DIBELS Next, Renaissance Lalilo, ESL instruction, Wilson Fundations, and interventions for struggling readers. I recently co-charied a book study group for "Shifting the Balance: 6 Ways to Bring the Science of Reading into the Balanced Literacy Classroom. I am a proud 2-24 Lexia LETRS Science of Reading scholarship recipient. I received the New Jersey Governor's Award for Educational Services Professional in my district in 2019. I am also a 2019 Fulbright-Hays scholar in which I studied language, culture, and education in Oaxaca, Mexico. I am highly organized and I collaborate with my colleagues to provide the best programming for my struggling readers and English Language Learners using multi-sensory instruction.
