About Sherry Kless

My passion is in workforce development, and for over 28 years I have worked in a quality-focused, employer-driven, customer-centered system that is tailored to meet the needs of job seekers and businesses. My master’s degree in Counselling from Oakland University gave me a great foundation for the work I do. I’m also a Certified Career Development Facilitator through Oakland University and a Certified Business Services Professional from Michigan State University’s School of Labor and Industrial Relations. Every day, I meet with individuals who need assistance with career planning, job search, and job training. My focus is with those that have barriers to employment. I’m great at digging into my client’s work and education histories to clarify their interests, skills and dreams for the future. For businesses, I work in collaboration with a team of economic developers from Oakland County and the State of Michigan, to assess the workforce challenges. Together we develop strategies to address the challenges created by fast moving technologies, global competition, high rates of employment and the demands for a highly skilled workforce. I have created apprenticeships, internships, work experiences for youth and adults, on-the the job training arrangements and customized training programs. I love what I do.
