About Sherwin Lau
As a graduate of the Master of Peace and Conflict program at the University of Waterloo with a strong interest in Project Management, Public Policy, and Issues regarding Urban Living. I'm the first ever Lead and Project Manager of Participatory Budgeting in Ward 13 Toronto Centre, Downtown Toronto. Finding solutions by crowd sourcing ideas is my favorite responsibility and what I'm trained to do. I am a co-founder of A Voice For Transit, an urban transit consulting think-tank that we started in 2018 as university classmates, where I took on the role of VP Outreach. I regularly spearhead public surveys and interviews to collect primary data for reports and proprietary research. These report findings are often sent to Toronto City Council as open data for staff analysis. In my free time, I have a wanderlust for around the world. I enjoy reading about similar topics across the globe and the lived experience of others to get a better understanding of the world outside Toronto, Canada.
