Through my years of working after college, I have learned a great deal in a lot of other areas other than my Accounting Degree. I pursued my career in accounting right after college and have continued doing some type of accounting work at my other positions. I started at my current company as an Equipment/Systems Estimator, which requires a very good understanding of numbers, along with AutoCad usage. I also did, and still do some accounting functions and can help out where/when needed. I then moved in the Purchasing Manager role for our Fabrication/Systems side of the business where I used AutoCad for design, Sigma Nest for burn programs, handled price negotiations, inventory and numerous other managerial roles. My new position as New/Rental Equipment Coordinator/PM requires me to use Sales Force and Steelbrick programs, and I continue to deal with vendors, Customers, and all of our internal salesmen, field crew and service departments. As the sole person in the equipment department, I quote, purchase and project manage all equipment. Maintaining equipment inventory, air permits, parts books and various other duties are part of daily life as well. Customer Service (internal and external) is a huge part of my job, and am very fluent with my computer, including MS Office programs. I love to learn, so any new position is a good challenge for me.
