About Sheyfer Bilbao

I’m Sheyfer Bilbao, a Cybersecurity Analyst with experience across SOC operations, identity and access management (IAM), cloud security, data governance, and SOX/IT controls, supporting enterprise, multi-country environments within the banking and telecommunications sectors. I work closely with regional teams on incident triage and response, identity governance, Azure security controls, and the continuous improvement of data protection, risk management, and compliance frameworks. My background combines technical execution with governance and regulatory alignment, including exposure to SOX, NIST, and ISO 27001. I’m particularly interested in how organizations can strengthen their security posture and cyber resilience through effective controls, risk-based decision-making, and strong technology oversight.Beyond the technical side, I’m passionate about security culture, education, and inclusion. I’ve spoken at the United Nations on cyber hygiene and online safety for women, and I actively contribute to the Women of Security (WoSec) community, supporting learning, mentorship, and greater representation in cybersecurity.Always open to connecting with professionals across cybersecurity, technology risk, governance, and data protection.
