Background

About Shikshya Sharma

As a rising sophomore at Howard University, I am pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, with a keen interest in object-oriented programming (OOP) and data analysis. I have a strong foundation in Java and Python and have completed courses in critical thinking and data structures at MiraCosta College. I also hold a diploma of education in computer systems networking and telecommunications from Armeria Eskola, Spain where I learned the fundamentals of network design and security. In addition to my academic pursuits, I worked as a student worker at two different departments of MiraCosta College, where I apply my skills and knowledge to support various functions and projects. At the Orientation and Student Support department, I assist new and returning students with enrollment, orientation, and financial aid processes. At the Technical Service department, I create data visualizations using Tableau, and collaborate with other team members using GitHub for version control and code sharing. I am always eager to learn and am excited to continue growing my skillset and knowledge in the field of computer science.
