About Shiladitya Sil

Highly motivated oral physician with tremendous desire to learn, explore, grow in various roles extending from a specialist to a clinician to a to an academician to a referral dentist and sometimes a camp dentist. Always up for exciting challenges, exploring new roles and responsibilities with a subtle inclination towards innovation and research. Keen interest on early detection of oral cancer, handling adjuncts for early detection of oral cancer and maxillo-facial radiology. Speciality areas include orofacial pain management, temporo-mandibular disorders and tobacco cessation practices including patient awareness, counselling and management.I also focus on how to build proper marketting strategies and PR skills for the fresh dental graduates. I have been passionately mentoring and motivating students at large.I have had a varied degree of clinical and academic exposure, both in the government and corporate set-ups. Apart from the core clinical duties, I have also been involved in administrative duties including daily operations, patient motivation and education, patient conversion and management, training of dental assistants, strategizing goal oriented program to name a few.Presently I am working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology, North Bengal Dental College and Hospital. Previously I was working as the only Oral Medicine specialist in the department of dentistry, Burdwan Medical College and Hospital, Government of West Bengal.
