I am grateful to live, work and play on these lands and recognize the rich tapestry of the Indigenous communities that have embraced this area as their home from across the diverse Nations throughout Canada. I also honor the custodians of traditional knowledge, spanning generations (young and old alike), in their unwavering leadership: past, present, and future. In the spirit of partnership and Reconcili-ACTION, I accept my part in the collective responsibility for the heart health of all residing in Canada, and I encourage you to engage in responsible, informed action wherever you may reside at this time. I have over 20 years of leadership experience that emphasizes building relationships and working collaboratively. I use an inclusive and team-based approach, and currently occupy a permanent position with the Canadian federal government (PE-04). My skills include: • Developed national policies, processes and accountabilities for enacting accessibility initiatives. • 10 years of experience with a global workforce, which has included: o Recruited, hired, and led a remote team in the Philippines while living in Mexico for 7 years. o Coordinated a global team with employees in Romania, Germany, Mexico, and Canada. o Led a local, culturally diverse team (40 to 55 staff). o Ran small to medium-sized training sessions (15 to 100 people) with global participation. • Led a proposal writing team that was awarded $10M in new government funding in one year. I'm dedicated to continuously learning about leadership development, organizational change management, innovative human resources, systems thinking, values-based leadership, team engagement: • Well-versed in equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility including the Accessible Canada Act, related legislation, and regulatory requirements. • Strong competency with Artificial Intelligence and its generative uses. • Experienced in occupational health and safety, plus emergency response leadership through theft, assault, armed robbery, attempted arson, sexual harassment, and missing persons events. • Skilled in marketing strategies, business development, and social media management. • Deep understanding of mentoring colleagues including those with accessibility needs-> Let’s network!
