About Shiloh Meeks

I currently work for the Eastern Shoshone Business Council as a File Clerk/ Travel Coordinator (going on 10 years) along with taking classes to assist with Customer Service/ Sales Representative. I am a very flexible individual and can quickly adapt to any settings, and or work environments, and I enjoy learning everything possible about the company I am employed with. I am constantly brainstorming ways in order to improve the day-to-day operations and make a conscious effort to look at short-term goals and long-term goals that could not only benefit my area of employment but also benefit future tribal employees and members. One of my biggest (and constantly ongoing) accomplishments was/is creating an archive of digital tribal documents, in the past 9+ years, I have accomplished creating a digital system of filing all tribal documents, and using technology to my advantage I've been fortunate enough to make locating most documents in a snap, but I still have a very long way to go and look forward to the challenge. My current challenge during the COVID-19 pandemic was going paperless, while it's not a completely feasible task within our office, I've adapted and made great use of Google docs in order to get everyone within the office able to have a say and or edit documents. It has been extremely interesting being a part of a team setting with the current pandemic and while it is challenging it also brings new creative ideas to the table. I also own and partially oversee my family farm located in another state, and while I am not fully involved with the daily operations I am always interested in learning more about farming. Currently, I am looking at the possibility of growing hemp on my property in the future but until then it is solely corn and soybeans. I am an avid gardener with hopes of someday having my own year-round greenhouse since Wyoming has such wonderful weather it is sometimes difficult to predict the growing season.
