Throughout my twenty five years in nursing I have participated in the formulation of the philosophy of the hospital specific to the nursing services, formulated goals and objectives and participated in formation of policies of the nursing services with the concerned hospital as per the ISO and NABH Standards, implemented hospital policies and rules for better health services to the patients, planned for placement of nursing staff including sister-in-charge, staff nurse, students in different units, their rotation plan, and maintain a satisfactory schedule, recommended personnel requirement and material requirements, reviewed the census and daily reports of hospital and report to the higher authority accordingly, made regular hospital rounds individually and with Hospital Superintendent as well as with various hospital committees to ensure the quality of patient care services, was responsible for making nursing audit and other departmental audits and have taken necessary actions accordingly, had supervised various stocks of wards for keeping the stock position up to- date with the help of sister in-charges. Made facility rounds as a part of designated patient safety officer to provide safety for the patients. Have conducted training programmes for the nurses and for other departments to meet the quality standards of the organisation as per NABH Standards. Visited and audited outsourced departments like laundry, bio-medical waste company, to ensure they met the standards. I was the NABH lead auditor to get pre-entry level certification for NABH in Sri Sai Hospitals.
