About Shipra Deep

No one is good at everything so always have an appetite for learning."Develop a passion for learning, If you do, you will never cease to grow" this is the basic fundamental of my life. By Profession, I am a Biotechnologist / Biochemical Engineer and a researcher. I have completed my Ph.D thesis entitled "Studies on Folic acid production by different microorganisms and its fortification in food products". During my research, I had worked upon screening of several microorganisms for folic acid production and optimization of culture conditions, probiotics efficiency check of the microorganisms and microbial folate fortification in natural food matrices using probiotics microorganisms. I have presented my research work at several International/National Conferences and published 3 research articles related to the work. I have also published a review article related to the probiotics effect on the human health and contributed in a book chapter related to the antibiotics. I have total 7 citations related to my published work. During my research tenure, I got the teaching assistantship, so I was actively engaged in various teaching activities like laboratory classes, tutorials, theory classes and dissertations seminars and projects of the students. Teaching assistantship tenure improved me in a better way like capability to face new challenges in an effective manner and work in an organized manner, team spirit and time management, patience development till the end of goal and a deep sense of responsibility towards everyone you are engaged with. My area of interest is the fermentation technology and probiotics development. Now, I am looking forward to broaden my career path both in academia as well as the industry where i can implement my skills and knowledge for the development of future generations. However, Academia is my preference as "Teaching is the one profession which creates all other professions". Thank you for paying attention.
