About Shirley Bernstein

With over 16 years of teaching experience and a Master of Arts in Teacher Leadership, I am a Special Education Case Manager at Springfield Public Schools District 186, where I provide individualized and flexible support to students with diverse needs. I have a strong expertise in differentiated instruction, classroom management, and lesson planning, and I am passionate about creating an adaptive and inclusive curriculum that fosters academic growth, social development, and emotional well-being for all students. As part of my role, I collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to design and implement effective interventions, accommodations, and modifications. I also communicate regularly with the school community to ensure alignment and accountability. My goal is to empower students to achieve their full potential and prepare them for life-long learning. I am committed to continuous professional development and learning from my peers and mentors. I am proud to be part of a team that values diversity, equity, and excellence in education.
