About Shirley Eplen

I have worked with people all my life from a leader in high school to the present. I have a love and compassion for others. While at Wharton High School I was a department head for some time and served for many years on the site based committee. I have spent years teaching and speaking in different settings and have enjoyed the opportunity to do that. For years I worked with everyone from GT students to Life Skills students, teen moms and making sure they learned basic child care as well as passing their classes. I have worked with a variety of students with disabilities, from a blind student to severe handicaps in other areas. This present position as business manager for Therapy Solutions 4 U has presented another set of challenges. I have worked with people of all ages and backgrounds. I have helped with marketing and contacting people and arranging for all types of services that we need and I have worked extensively with insurance companies. I have learned new computer programs that deal with scheduling and issues that come up in a medical billing situation. And I answer phones and deal with people and listen to their situation and do the intakes to get them scheduled. It has been an enlightening experience.
