About Shithi Maitra

In a nutshell, I am a Data professional with ~ 4 years' experience in startup (Marketplaces, FinTech) and corporate (FMCG, retail, Supply Chain, eCommerce) Growth Analytics. I have experience in the modern data stack, with a knack for improving manual/arduous processes via automation. I even take a great interest in market research & competitor analytics, which I have implemented via web scraping techniques at Unilever. Also my favorite is, mining large + unstructured texts and parsing out useful data in a structured form. I like to keep my projects in Cloud and find Google Cloud Platform (GCP) – ie, BigQuery, GSheets API, OCR Cloud Vision API – a great fit for my purpose.I feel that, all data in today's world talk of people, hence understanding consumer behavior and their buying patterns is essential for any business to thrive. Hence I perform segmentation and apply clustering and classification ML algorithms for the purpose. SQL, Selenium, BeautifulSoup-bs4, regexp, Keras, TensorFlow - are some of my favorite tools I use professionally and also for lazy exploration of the world during my free time. I am new to Canada and am on a quest to land my next 'big thing'. Let's connect for more:)
