About Shiv Bhatia

As a research intern at the Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW), I am exploring sustainable cooling methods and district cooling systems across different regions and contexts. I work closely with the cooling team, investigating historical and contemporary perspectives, and the business and policy models that guide such systems. I am also pursuing a master's degree in sustainability studies at TERI School of Advanced Studies, where I learn about the complex and interrelated challenges of sustainable development. With a background in economics, I am particularly interested in renewable energy, energy policy, foreign policy, and public policy. I have gained valuable insights and skills from my previous internship at the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC), where I researched the supply-chain condition of wind energy-related equipment in India. I also have experience in content moderation and writing for various products and topics, such as international relations, defence, technology, and politics. My goal is to contribute to a more sustainable future for the world, by applying my knowledge, skills, and passion to the fields of policy, research, and advocacy. I am always eager to learn new things, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and challenge myself to grow as a professional and a global citizen.
