About Shivendra Kumar Sinha

SK Sinha held the position of CEO at APCPL (a joint venture company of NTPC, HARYANA & DELHI govt.) and reported to board of directors. Currently he is Executive Director at NTPC Dadri, which is an integrated power plant having power generation capacity from coal, gas and solar energy. While leading the NTPC Dadri, the station has been awarded champion of champion’s trophy along with seven Swarn Shakti award by CMD of NTPC on exceptional performance among 20+ plants in NTPC. Under his leadership NTPC Dadri was declared as top power plant in the world by Power magazine of United States. Further during his leadership NTPC Dadri got rewarded as the top plant for the business excellence model for its all round performance.Mr. Sinha has played lead roles for 35+ years in Operation, Maintenance, Commissioning, Projects Finance, HR and other roles in the management of power stations. He has successfully accomplished responsibilities of CEO at APCPL and Executive Director at NTPC Dadri. He has broad experience in managing all the resources such as manpower, finance, and technical deliverable for running the super thermal power stations. He also reported to board of directors at APCPL and group of directors at NTPC.A Mechanical engineer by profession, Mr. Sinha is an alumnus of BIT Sindri. He joined NTPC as an executive trainee and took various roles and responsibilities in different power stations during his long tenure. He has been given responsibilities of CEO at APCPL and Executive Director at NTPC Dadri. During his overall experience he has undergone international/national training on technical as well managerial aspects. It has guided him to establish robust systems and processes, achieve operational excellence and build a high performing team. At the same time he believes in giving back to the society through various initiatives such as personnel safety, security, environment, training and development, O&M sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
