DNA in our body cells is enwrapped and protected by "nuclear membrane" and loss of integrity of the nuclear membrane is linked with cancer, inflammation, and neurodegenerative diseases. In my research I aim to understand how cells do "health check" of the nuclear membrane. To that end I combine tools of gene editing, live cell imaging, Python-based big data analysis, machine learning, and biochemical analysis of lipid-protein interactions.
