About Shome Sengupta

I am delighted to pursue as a livelihood what has been my lifelong passion. TravelLive, a digital-age travel start-up, is formed by a group of dynamic tourism experts with 200+ years of cumulative experience in the industry who have together covered 60 countries as travel operators and guides with a strong presence of partners worldwide. We have come together to offer rich, passionate, and fulfilling trips to unchartered and unexplored territories. Before starting my new venture, I was a technologist and business leader in Information Technology as a Managing Director in Accenture over a decade. I served global Fortune 500 corporations in USA, Europe, and Asia, building Lean Cloud and system integration solutions, navigating the complexities of business realities. Before joining Accenture in 2011, I spent 23 years in developing large and complex applications, developing software products, and managing infrastructure delivery teams in Asia, USA and Europe. Through my career, I have lived and worked in Kolkata, Bangalore, and Cambridge, UK. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Technology from Calcutta University. I live in Kolkata with my wife since 2020. My son and daughter-in-law live and work in Leeds, UK. I am a passionate traveller with special interest in wildlife, an amateur photographer tinkering my Nikon D610, and an enthusiast weekend cook.
