About Shona Scott

I am a seasoned (34 years) Registered Nurse with diverse experience. The first 20 years of my career was in cardiology. I worked in Cardiac Cath Labs, Cardiology Stress Testing, CCU/ICU/CVR, and as a Cardiac Rehab RN. In the early I was asked to open and operate the Cardiac Rehab Center at Des Peres Hospital. I love everything about Cardiology and to this day, identify as a Cardiac Nurse. Eventually I transitioned to Interventional Radiology. I enjoyed caring for patients in procedural settings, providing and monitoring their MAC sedation, and covering emergency call for our Level 1 stroke Lab. My experience also includes PACU/perioperative care, bronchoscopy lab RN, community service/public health nurse, and most recently, in 2020, I took a position as a Circulator in the OR. With my diverse nursing background of 30+ years, it is easy to discover I am flexible and love to take on new challenges while discovering what is out there for the nurse professional. I am eager to add to my career in healthcare while maintaining my OR Circulator role.
