About Shreen Khan

Shreen Khan is an award-winning journalist and presenter based in Los Angeles. For over a decade, her reporting on social change has reached millions of viewers and educated audiences across broadcast, documentary and digital media. Currently, she is expanding video storytelling with independent Black and Brown publishers at URL Media. At AJ+, the digital media pioneer, she led election coverage and produced documentaries, explainers, and emerging platform content. From the evolution of Islam in American prisons to Indian weddings in the diaspora, her documentaries illuminate untold stories. Her AJ+ documentaries have won a Silver Telly Award and awards from the Society of Professional Journalists. In broadcast, she worked at Al Jazeera in Washington, D.C. producing The Stream, a live discussion program driven by social media. She has a master’s degree in international relations and bachelor’s degree in anthropology from American University. She serves as an adjunct lecturer at the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. She also produces the Indian cooking channel TryMyChai on Instagram and TikTok.
